OUR MISSION
At Amp Up, our mission is to empower amputees to live boldly, move freely, and embrace life without limits.
Through shared experiences, resources, and advocacy, we help amputees and their families find confidence, hope, and community. We’re here to prove that life doesn’t stop after amputation — it amplifies.
OUR STORY
At Amp Up, our mission is to empower amputees to live boldly, move freely, and embrace life without limits. We believe that strength grows through community, and that every amputee deserves the resources, encouragement, and visibility needed to thrive. Through education, outreach, and storytelling, we work to amplify voices, inspire resilience, and create a world where ability is defined not by what’s lost — but by how far we rise together.
OUR HISTORY
Amp Up began with a simple idea — that no amputee should ever feel alone in their journey. What started as one person’s effort to share encouragement and real-life experiences after amputation quickly evolved into a movement for empowerment and education.
In the early days, our focus was on connection — reaching out through social media, community events, and local hospitals to remind new amputees that there is life, strength, and confidence beyond recovery. As stories spread, so did our mission. Families found guidance, new amputees found hope, and long-time prosthetic users found a renewed sense of purpose through helping others.
Over time, Amp Up became more than a support network; it became a bridge between the amputee community and the broader world. We began partnering with prosthetic companies, therapists, and advocacy groups to share resources, highlight advancements in technology, and amplify the voices of those redefining ability every day.
Today, Amp Up stands as a growing nonprofit dedicated to transforming challenges into opportunities — inspiring others to rise, to move forward, and to amp up their own lives. Our history is rooted in compassion, community, and courage — and it continues to be written by every amputee who refuses to be limited by circumstance.
